PRE OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELVS /

SAPHENOUS VEIN ABLATION PATIENTS

PREOPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS:

1.              Shower before you visit, as you will not be permitted to shower after the procedure             for 24 hours.

2.              Prior to appointment, please shave the operative leg, as well as 1.0-2.0 inches in   the                  pubic area on that side.

3.              Do not apply any type of moisturizer to your leg on the day of the procedure.

4.              Wear loose clothes.

5.              Be sure you have obtained a pair of prescription compression hose before leaving                the office.

6.              Make an appointment 72 hours following the procedure for follow-up with the      nurse and for ultrasound.

7.              Arrange for a ride home after the procedure.
