Certification

Interventional Radiologists are highly trained and specialized physicians who have received extensive training in minimally invasive, targeted treatments that are performed using imaging-guided technology. The certification as an Interventional Radiologist means that the physician has met rigorous requirements in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology. Interventional Radiology is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties as a medical specialty.
